Study Time Artist

4bid Study Time Artist Program welcomes applications from local and international artists. It was created to offer performance artists an opportunity to use a gallery space and get the chance to evolve or finalize a research in progress supported by mentoring and feedback sessions.

With the participation to 4bid Study Time Artist Program each artist will:

-have access to the gallery space/studio for one week for the agreed number of hours.
-attend mentoring sessions 3 times per week: on commencement of the week, half way and at the end of the week with one or more professionals of the artist’s choice between our partners (email us to know who will be available)
-share the work (formal or informal presentation) in 4bid gallery or a partner space; OR presentation of the work during one of the upcoming Highs & Lows events (link);
-free meal (dinner) at de Peper vegan kitchen for one person four times during the week.

The gallery provides:

-35 square meters concrete floor space (3 white walls, one window wall, high ceilings)
-basic lighting, one spot light, additional options available;
-internet wi-fi
We would like to give the opportunity to one artist receiving a stipend with this program to pay a reduced fee for the rent of the space: 140 euro (1/3 of normal rent price)


Accommodation:

The Study Time Program is an artist residency that does not include accommodation. Should you need this an additional cost of euro 70 per person (2 people max) will be required (combination of Study Time and Atelier with living facilities 210 euro). Specify on application.

ABOUT US:

4bid gallery on the ground floor of ot301 is a space, a project, and a platform for art and artists. The context in which it is located, a former squat legalized and organized into a multimedia cultural center owned by the association EHBK -first aid for the arts- has allowed 4bid to become home of many creations and a host of a number of multicultural exchanges within the fields of visual and performative arts.
In the same building you will find the following initiatives: Studioz 301, concert venue, club and dance/performance stage; de Peper vegan kitchen; Mixtree cinema and cafe’; a number of artist ateliers on two floors.
